John Lemay, owner and photographer, is a 1977 graduate of Hallmark Institute of Photography.  Before opening his own business in 1982, John held various positions in the photographic field.  He was the studio manager for a Sears Studio, where he gained experience as a high-volume children's photographer.  He also gained volume experience as a school photographer for a studio in Revere, MA.

After deciding to travel for awhile, John worked for Chromalloy Photographic, in St.Louis, MO. there he traveled the U.S., providing photographic promotions for religious organizations and financial institutions.  After a brief pause from photography, John opened Lemay Photography in Fitchburg, There the business thrived thru 2004.

Needing to expand, John located a historical building in need of rehabilitation in Gardner, MA.  The original structure, believed to be built in the mid 1800's
( official documentation only goes back to 1880's ), and can be found in local history books of Gardner.  The building was used in the early to mid 1900's as a toll house, where as people traveling East on RT.2A towards Boston would pay a toll.
( This of course was before RT.2 highway was constructed. )
It was later used as a family dwelling for many years, then becoming vacant and in need of re-hab in the mid 1990's.
